The world seems a lot smaller now. I keep seeing the same people and the same faces, and doing the same things. It honestly feels like an endless cycle of the same routines. I'm honestly pretty bored with my life right now, so I keep doing things like going to the gym or eating healthy to make up for it because those are the only things exciting about my life right now.

So since I clearly don't have anything entertaining to share about what's going on in my life, I will just discuss topics or certain things that have been on my mind. Because quite frankly, those are currently the only interesting things going on. One topic I'm about to talk about is the saying "High school is the best years of your life". While I see why that can be true, I believe it is a completely false narrative depending on the type of person your are.

Yes, high school does mean zero responsibilities and constantly hanging out with your friends if you're privileged enough to experience that. But to some it may mean endless nights of being an adult you're clearly not or being alone on Saturday nights while your peers go out and make memories. This saying isn't fair to people like that. Or to even those that have to constantly work to support themselves and their families. Sometimes its better to say that high school is just high school. A period of your life where you experience ups and downs all while trying to discover who you truly are.

Some may enjoy high school while others may not. So putting a label on it, especially one as grand as "best" seems... unreasonable. At least from my experience it is. I keep waiting for that feeling you get when you really enjoy your life in my day-to-day life, since it's supposed to be one I should be feeling. But other than the times in class where I genuinely enjoy my friends company, I don't feel that way. Although, I will say I feel satisfied with the way things are. But that's it, just satisfied.

I guess it's now time to give you advice if you're experiencing what I am. My advice is to try and enjoy the small things in your everyday routine. The way the cold wind feels on your skin or the slight tingles you get when that cute guy in class is around. Maybe even the way you feel after a workout. When you enjoy small things like that you may begin to attract bigger things, or at least I've been told.

If you got this far, thank you for reading the whole thing. It means a lot to me and I send lots of love :)
